Detail Itinerary

Days 1:Shillong

Guwahati - Shillong (100 kilometres /3 hours drive)

After arrival at Guwahati Airport, our tour representative meets you and drives you to Shillong. On the way, visit the serene Borapani Umiam Lake. Overnight stay at a hotel in Shillong.

Days 2:Shillong

Shillong - Cherrapunjee (60 kilometres / 2 hours)

After breakfast, head to Cherrapunjee, which is known to be the wettest place on the planet. The Nohkalikai waterfall is also situated in Cherrapunjee. One can explore the caves in and around the waterfalls as well. After returning to Shillong, proceed to Elephanta Falls and the mighty Shillong peak for scintillating views.

Days 3:Kaziranga

Shillong - Kaziranga (280 kilometres / 5 hours drive)

Known as the Scotland of the East, Shillong offers breathtaking views of the sylvan hills and the local villages. After going for a full-day sightseeing of the city, the tourists proceed to Kaziranga. Overnight stay at a tourist lodge in Kaziranga.

Days 4:Kaziranga

Early morning, head to Kaziranga National Park in pursuit of spotting the famous one-horned rhinoceroses. Gear up for an exciting elephant safari and see a wide range of rare species. Afer lunch, go on a jeep safari to the central area of the national park. The rest of the day is free for the tourists for their own leisure activities.

Days 5:Kaziranga

After breakfast, visit the tribal village and the tea estate. Later go on a jeep safari to the eastern area of the park. You can spend the rest of the day exploring nature. Send Enquiry

Days 6:Tuophema

Kaziranga - Kohima (225 kilometres / 5 hours drive)

After breakfast, proceed to Kohima and check-in to Tuophema Village Resort, which is managed and run by the Angami Naga community. The resort is about 41 kilometres from Kohima. In the evening, the tourists can enjoy the cultural performances by the local villagers.

Days 7:Kohima

Touphema - Kohima - Dimori Cove

In the morning, explore the village and interact with the local community. After breakfast, head to Kohima and visit the WW II Cemetery, in memory of all those soldiers who lost their lives during the Second World War. In the cemetery, you would find a laid-in stone with the engraved words - "When you go home, tell them of us and say, for your tomorrow we gave our today" - which speaks aloud the courage and enthusiasm with which the soldiers fought the war. Visit the State Museum and get a chance to buy the local artefacts, handlooms, handicrafts, tools, jewellery, ancient weaponry, and more, that flaunt the richness of the Naga tribe. After lunch, head to Kepfiizha (Kigwema village). The tourists can go on a trek on the Japfu Peak (about 3048 feet above sea level), and later proceed the trek to the Dzukou Valley, the best trekking valley of North-East India.

In the evening, visit the Angami village of Jakhama. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kohima.

Days 8:Kohima

Khonoma - Drive to Khonoma (20 kilometres)

Visit Khonoma, an Angami Tribal village, which is also the native of the father of Naga Nationalist movement - Angami Phizo. This village is situated on top of a hillock and is also the location where the last few weeks of the Anglo Naga War was fought. The tourists return to Kohima for an overnight stay.

Days 9:Jorhat

Kohima - Jorhat (200 Kilometres / 4 hours drive)

In the early hours of the day, the tourists go on a drive to Jorhat, which is famously known as the tea-capital of Assam. After reaching Jorhat, the guests check-in to Thengal Mansion, which is a 72-year-old ancestral house of a tea planter in Assam. Days 10:Majuli

Early morning, the tourists go on a river cruise on the Brahmaputra River to reach the beautiful river island of Majuli. Majuli is renowned for being the biggest river island in the world and also the centre of the Baishnavite monasteries.

Days 11:Guwahati

After driving back to Guwahati, the tourists go on a river cruise and enjoy the scenic views of the sunset and the mighty hills. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

Days 12:Guwahati

For souvenirs and authentic products made by the villagers, visit Sualchuci, also known as the Manchester of Assam. The finest qualities of 'Adi' and 'Muga' silks are available here. Hajo, a tranquil and sacred pilgrimage is situated here as well. The rest of the day is free for the guests for their own leisure activities.

Days 13:Guwahati

The tourists proceed to Guwahati Airport or railway station for their onward journey.
